Here are some scans (damn I need my own digital camera) for my latest saturday afternoon obsession...

I think i'll call it...

It was half unintnded, but the Hornet easily breaks into cockpit and engine modules.
The "turbolaser cannon" arms are also detachable.

Actually the cockpit section can attach to the engine in two ways. In these pictures the big fucking gun is on the underside of the ship, which is how I designed it. Actually configured with the BFG on the top looks a bit meaner.

The "x" wings on the front had to be added after the rest of the ship was done, I didn't want to add them at all, but I needed a midship gun mout and a way to let the ship sit on it's belly in a more stable fashion.

It's hard to see in the pics, but the center section of the engine pod can actually rotate. There is no practical purpose to this, but I liked having a round part in the center.
For about 10 minutes I toyed with the idea of having the cockpit and engine pod rotate independently, but that was pretty early on & seemed to make the ship horribly fragile. besideds I couldn't have mounted the BFG on there if the cockpit rotated... at least not as easily or as sturdily.
